Do you have a hair and makeup artist that you use?
yes! i have a dream team of very talented hair and makeup artists that you have the option of hiring. they are not included in the price of your session. if you decide to hire one of them, you pay them directly. for full hair and makeup application, the cost is $175 for the first look and then $25 each additional look after that. for grooming (defined as light makeup application and hair touch ups) the cost is $125 + $25. Hair and Makeup artists will be with you for the duration of the shoot checking on your hair and makeup as we shoot.
*if hair and make up artists are hired, they are paid for all looks of the headshot session. for example, the option to shoot 4 actor headshot looks, but only “use” the hair and make up artist for 2 of those looks, is not available.
*you’re welcome to use your own hmua, but you must come hair and makeup ready. they are allowed to be present during the shoot for quick adjustments and touch ups.
I submitted a session request but haven’t heard back. What’s up with that!?
i promise we aren’t ignoring you! we’ve had several reports of our messages ending up in spam folders, so please make sure to check there for our responses. if you still haven’t heard from us and it’s been more than five business days (excluding weekends), please email us directly at chaseandersonphoto@gmail.com.
I have parking anxiety. What is the parking situation?
free street parking and a paid lot right across the street that’s usually running at $3/hr. i know all the street parking spots, so just shoot a text to my google number that we provide you & i’ll help you find something if it’s available.
How do you define a look?
generally, by the base layer. i’ll allow you to throw a jacket on, or glasses on, and it not count against you.
Should I bring backup wardrobe options to my headshot session?
yes please. we can look through what you have, and come up with a plan together. if something’s not looking right on camera, back up options make it easy to keep up our momentum and keep the photoshoot moving. However, we do ask that you narrow down your selections to 2-3 options per look. if you bring too many options, it can impede the flow of the shoot, as we may have too many clothes to sift through.
What’s the best payment method?
currently, i ONLY accept 3 methods of payment. cash, Zelle, and card. all card transactions will have a 3.7% service fee attached. if you plan to use Zelle, please set it up within your banking app prior to your arrival on set.
What is your policy on Rescheduling and Cancelations?
We understand that life happens and you may need to reschedule your appointment. Our rescheduling protocol is as follows -
1 Reschedule - your first reschedule is complimentary, and there is no fee associated with it.*
2 Reschedules - If you have to reschedule twice, a deposit of your full session total will be required to hold the new, third appointment.
3+ Reschedules - A third reschedule, and each reschedule after, will require a new $150 deposit.
If you are cancelling within 24 hours or are a no show, we require another $150 deposit that will be on top of the session total to reschedule the appointment.
If you need to reschedule, we will honor your booking price for 30 days. After that you will be required to pay the current price.
If for any reason Chase has to reschedule you because of his schedule, you are allowed 1 new reschedule.
Can I split the shoot into two days?
yes, but there’s an additional session fee of $150 for the second day. this helps cover the extra reserved studio time as well as additional set up.
Can I shoot with a pet?
this is decided on a case by case basis. shooting with a pet will incur an additional fee.
How many edits do I get?
you receive one complimentary edit of your choice per look. additional edits can be purchased for $35 each.
Do you require a deposit?
yes. a non-refundable $150 deposit is required for all session types, which will be applied to your overall cost. this is due within 48 hours of your booking request.
Who owns the photos?
as the photographer, i hold the copyright on the photos. that being said, i’m not picky on your usage of the shots. they’re pictures of you at your best, and i want you to use them however you want. you’ll receive all of the shots (that arn’t blurry or blinking) and you’re free to post them however, whenever you want, across your social channels. IF a commercial opportunity or placement of one of the photos comes up, we ask that you have the business or entity reach out to us to discuss compensation.
Should I be worried about weather affecting the shoot date?
nope! my headshot sessions are shot inside my air-conditioned atlanta photography studio. your session won’t be affected by climate at all. this is especially important here in atlanta, as the heat can get sticky and the cold can bite :). you won’t have any issue at all feeling comfortable that you and your hair and makeup will be on point all shoot.
Are there any cool spots around the studio if I’m early or wanna linger after?
yes! there absolutely is. inside my neighborhood of Castleberry Hill, you can find Mexican food at No Mas Cantina, soul food at Old Lady Gang, and a neighborhood favorite sushi & japanese fusion spot, Bottlerocket. you can also check out the Summerhill district an 8-10 minute drive from the studio. there you’ll find a great coffee shop called Little Tart, ice cream at Big Softie, an excellent brewery with food and an open-air rooftop called Halfway Crooks, as well as 5 or 6 restaurants. lastly, there are 3 breweries and a whiskey distillery right ontop of the Beltline in the West End (Monday Night Garage / Best End Brewing / ASW / Wild Heaven) - great for day drinking… after your session : ). Not to mention, the studio itself is walking distance from Mercedes Benz Stadium + State Farm Arena if you’re so inclined to line up your headshot session with a Hawks game or BTS concert.
